Custom Cake Cost — Whitby & Durham Region

Pricing

How much does a custom cake cost in Whitby?

What a custom cake costs in Whitby comes down to your guest count, how many tiers it needs, and how much of the work is done by hand — sugar flowers, piping and gold leaf all take time. A cake for twenty is a different job from a wedding cake for a hundred and fifty. Tell me your date, your guest count and roughly what you're picturing, and I'll come back with an honest estimate.

What makes one cake more expensive than another?

Mostly hours, not ingredients. A smooth two-tier buttercream cake and a two-tier cake covered in handmade sugar flowers use similar amounts of cake — but one takes an afternoon and the other takes days. Size matters too, since more guests means more tiers.

Do I pay everything up front?

No. A deposit holds your date in the calendar, and the balance is prior to pickup.

Ordering & Timing

How far in advance should I order a cake?

For weddings, two weeks is the minimum and further out is better, peak season dates go early. For birthdays and other celebrations, a week is usually enough.

Can you take short-notice orders?

Often, yes. It depends entirely on what's already booked that week. Call (647) 718-3029 and I'll tell you straight away whether your date is open.

How do I book?

Start by getting in touch, call, message on Instagram, or use the booking page. We'll talk through what you're planning, I'll mock a design if needed and send you a quote, and a deposit holds the date once you're happy.

What if my guest count changes?

Tell me as soon as you know. Sizing can usually be adjusted if there's still time, and it's much easier to change a design on paper than a cake that's already been baked.

Flavours & Tastings

What flavours do you offer?

Our core flavours include choclate, vanilla, red velvet, carrot. If what you want isn't on the list, ask — most things I can make.

Can I taste the cake before I order?

Yes, and it works a little differently from a sit-down tasting. You choose the flavours you'd like to try and I make them up as mini cakes for you to take home, so you can taste them properly in your own time rather than across a table from me. What you pay for the tasting comes off your booking when you go ahead.

Do you make cakes for dietary requirements?

Some, yes — tell me what you need and I'll be honest about whether I can do it well. One thing I won't do is pretend otherwise: I bake in a kitchen where nuts, dairy, eggs and wheat are all in regular use, so I can't guarantee a cake is free of any allergen. For a mild preference or intolerance that's usually fine. For a severe allergy, we won't be able to accodomate.

Do you make Persian sweets?

Yes. Traditional Persian sweets, made from scratch in small batches, the way my family taught me. They can be ordered on their own or alongside a cake.

Delivery & Pickup

Where do you deliver?

Across Durham Region and the GTA, Whitby, Brooklin, Ajax, Pickering, Oshawa, Courtice, Bowmanville, Scarborough, Markham, Toronto and Etobicoke. If you're outside that and the date works, ask me anyway.

Can I pick the cake up instead?

Yes. Pickup is from my Whitby studio by appointment, and I'll show you how to transport it so it arrives the way it left.

Weddings

Do you set up the cake at the venue?

Ask when you book and I'll coordinate with your planner or venue coordinator on timing and where it's going.

Can I bring a photo of a cake I've seen online?

Please do. Photos are the easiest way to show me what you're drawn to. Please not photos made with AI are impossible to recreate 1:1. I will absolutely do my best to make it close, but AI can't replicate the real world.
